Conditions We Support
When other treatments haven’t been enough
We work with adults whose symptoms haven’t fully responded to standard care. Ketamine acts on a different pathway in the brain than traditional antidepressants, and for many people it brings relief more quickly.2
Major depressive disorder
Persistent low mood, loss of interest, fatigue, and difficulty functioning. Research shows ketamine can ease depressive symptoms rapidly, sometimes within hours to days.2
Anxiety
Chronic, hard-to-control anxiety that often travels alongside depression. Studies have looked at ketamine’s effect on both depressive and anxiety symptoms.5
PTSD
Trauma-related symptoms that interfere with daily life. Suitability is always assessed individually as part of your evaluation.
Suitability
Who is a good candidate?
Ketamine works best as part of a broader plan, not as a standalone quick fix. People who tend to do well:
- Are adults whose symptoms haven’t responded fully to other treatments
- Are ready to invest in their wellbeing between sessions
- Have ongoing support, such as a therapist or care provider
- Have realistic expectations about a gradual, unfolding process
Safety first
When it may not be right
A full evaluation determines safety. Ketamine may not be appropriate for everyone, and some conditions require extra caution, such as uncontrolled blood pressure, certain heart conditions, active psychosis, a history of ketamine misuse, or pregnancy. We’ll review this carefully with you. See full safety information →
